Hello, my name is Claus. I'm a UX Designer and Software Developer from Vienna, Austria. Unfortunately, Ordered Complexity is not yet finished. However, it is going to be my very own digital playground about user experience and interaction design where I will share some thoughts and learnings about projects I did so far. Thank you for your interest so far and I would be more than happy if you check back later. In the meantime you can try out my latest visualization prototype "We Leave Traces" or simply drop me some lines.

We Leave Traces

is an interactive information visualization to explore geo-tagged pictures. As a dataset, I'm using the online photo-sharing plattform Flickr. The goal of this visualization is to retrieve insights about human practice and culture. Just type in a search term (e.g. "winter"). The resulting pictures are then mapped onto a Google Map as well as on a timeline. Once the result is loaded you can further explore the dataset using linking and brushing by clicking on markers, pictures, month boxes, timeline entries, tags or the scatter plot. Zoom in by double clicking the map or using the buttons. It's just a prototype – so if you need help I'm more than happy to show you around.
